Heavy duty
marine treatments

In this section, we detail the special treatments which may be applied to cranes destined for use in harsh environments or marine applications.

Pins

Pins may be treated with chemical process to make them highly resistant to corrosion.

Rods

To protect cylinder rods, we apply double cross chrome plating, 60 microns thick or nikrom treatment. the weight of the crane.

Metallization

A zinc or magnesium-aluminum coating can be applied to the structural components prior to assembly and painting, in order to offer extremely high resistance to corrosion.

Special painting process

Marine cranes are shot blasted prior to painting. Painting begins with an epoxidal bi-component primer, followed by two coats of a polyurethane bi-component enamel. This painting process takes place before the crane is assembled, to ensure every surface is well treated.

Stainless steel fittings

At our highest level of marine treatment, we also apply stainless steel fittings on hose ends, which can resist the most severe conditions.
