Fatigue test

For each new model a prototype is constructed for fatigue cycle testing. The crane is connected to a control valve with electric actuators in such a way that it can be controlled by computer. During the execution of the fatigue test cycles, every operating parameter is monitored by the computer, which will interrupt the test in case of any anomalies or alarms. Fatigue tests are performed both on fixed benches and truck chassis (in order to check the deflection of the base)

Types of cycles

The 5 principal cycle tests are the following:
1 - lifting (up to 150,000 cycles)
2 - lifting and slewing (up to 150,000 cycles)
3 - extension (up to 75,000 cycles)
4 - stabilizer (up to 75,000 cycles)
5 - complete (up to 150,000 cycles)
At the end of the five fundamental testing cycles, we will perform other specific cycle testing on the crane as well. In total, every prototype will be subjected up to 600.000 cycles of loading.

Fatigue tests

One of the final stages in prototyping is fatigue testing.
This is performed to reveal any weaknesses in the design, and draw attention to corrections we must make.
